Leaders, if unable to motivate and inspire people to a collective purpose will eventually be termed failures who squandered the opportunity to extract the potential of those entrusted to their management.
No man is an island, none of us knows it all; humble leadership acknowledges this and submits to views and opinions from various stakeholders, including staff; humble leadership is not troubled by industrial action but benefits from industrious employees; humble leadership emphasizes equal benefits for all stakeholders; humble leadership is not forced to manage the time clock, nor seek new sources of innovation. Humble leadership naturally extracts innovation from the bosoms of staff, derives efficiency through partnerships and is not afraid of the future.
Quoting Nelson Mandela one of the great leaders of our time “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart”
